The rocky shorelines of our existence
Becoming desolate waste, in our wake
Muddy the turbulent waters
Of the currents of conformity
When the barriers of the riverbeds
Were mutilated
Bleeding out over everything
In the vicinity
The flood drowned the delicate growth.
We drank hungrily, from cupped hands
Fed off the euphoria
Off destruction
Dancing in the aftermath

The impact was jaw shaking
And rattled the innards of my brain against my skull
I remember how
The bitter spring wind
Felt against the wetness of my shirt
The cold growing as rapidly as it came
My blood leaving my body as this empty chill
Fills where it left
I was walking the line between life and death
With my murderess
Maybe it was my shaken mind but
I found myself thinking about
Who exactly it would be to clean up
The mess of who I once was, and further,
If they'd be thinking of me.
I was falling into death,
As quickly as falling asleep.
The light of dawn was blanketing me
And the birds were near, singing tunes
Like a lullaby, to the veil
One of the birds came from its perch
And landed upon the ground beside me
Causing a lovely shadow on the pavement.
My murderess began to drink the crimson flood
Beneath me and I smiled.
As soon as I fell asleep, she kissed me.
Let the life that poured out of me,
Fill the coldness that dwells inside of you.
